Software for scientists: Defining Trovomic's MVP

Trovomics is a platform built by scientists for scientists that simplifies the complex process of analyzing and interpreting RNA sequencing data, enabling scientists to accelerate discoveries in fields such as healthcare and biotechnology.

The team at Trovomics needed help turning a complex and difficult to navigate prototype into a streamlined MVP solutions that could be put in the hands of actual research scientists.

Along side of a team of collaborators I worked to overhaul critical aspects of the user experience — working in close collaboration with Trovomics' lead scientists, developers, and research team. Through a series of stakeholder interviews, I documented researcher's existing scientific processes and research methods, worked with subject matter experts to understand the complex analysis requirements, and identified key areas of our design hypothesis in need of validation.
